DESCRIPTION AKA Greater Bamboo Bat. This small species is relatively widespread, not uncommon, is tolerant of a range of habitats and there are no known major threats. They have a flattened head with a short snout and triangular ears. It is a small dark brown bat with wing spread measuring around 17cm. The bats are insectivorous, with flies, beetles and wasps which they catch on the wing, using echolocation.
